Tucannon river area
« on: September 26, 2012, 11:31:00 PM »
Hey not a trapper personally, but thought I'd throw this out. Anyone trap up along the Tucannon area? If not you should the skunks up there are bad. Camped up there this summer near the camp Wooten campgrounds and the skunks scared my niece and wife something fierce lol. I didn't mind em too much, but the girls did :P. I do have one question though are skunks good to eat and do they taste like chicken? I would have shot one but didn't want the stink. So for any trappers in the area this would be a good area for you. Just a fyi if not interested then sorry I am just trieng to be helpfull.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Not much money in skunks. I trapped up there many years ago for cats, not a lot of them up there though. A few beaver and otter but again not a lot. You would need to camp there to make any money, would be more of a fun trip.
